About El Sobrante Press
- El Sobrante Press is located in El Sobrante in the San Francisco Bay area of California. Its mission is to advertise and promote the publications and writings of author Jim Buck.
- Jim was born and raised in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for the Defense Department in Maryland and elsewhere for 35 Years before retiring. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and has a master's degree in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University in the Washington, DC area. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay area.
- Jim has published two books and written numerous articles for publications in Maryland and the Bay area. He is an avid runner, hiker and tennis player, although he's still an amateur in all three. He's a sometime golfer, an occasional biker and a follower of sports of all types.

Two books are currently available for purchase:
"Growing Up on the Streets of Philadelphia" and
"Quest for the Finish--Diary of a Distance Runner."
These are offered in both ebook and print versions at Amazon.com. The print version of "Quest" is available in black and white or vibrant full color, although the color version may be a bit pricey. The ebooks feature full color renditions of many of photos included in each of the books.
